The Manufacture de Porcelaine de Monaco was founded in 1972 by Erich Rozewicz with the encouragement and support of His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III and Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco.

Erich Rozewicz was living in France at the time, consulting Porcelain engineer and painting in his free time. When exhibiting his personal work in Paris in 1971, he received an unexpected and improvised visit of Princess Grace and Prince Rainier, which later asked him if he wouldn’t be interested to build a company to manufacture luxury porcelain in Monaco.

From the very beginning, the Manufacture de Monaco has produced luxury quality porcelain distinguished by being very white, hard and translucent. This quality is achieved thanks to the unique skills of specialist craftsmen, and through a very critical selection of each finished article.

The original decorative designs were inspired by the rosettes and mosaics found in the Palace of the Prince, works of art reminiscent of the civilizations of the Mediterranean Sea.Luxurious and refined gift-articles, decorative accessories and, of course, a variety of tableware are appreciated by connoisseurs from all over the world for their unique style.Erich Rozewicz has for ever searched new ways to improve on the quality and beauty of his products.After Erich Rozewicz’s passing in 2000 at the age of 81, his son Joram Rozewicz took charge of the company, having spent many years acquiring his unique savoir-faire. The Manufacture de Porcelaine de Monaco can now look forward to perpetuating its tradition of creating beautiful pieces of porcelain.

After their immediate success of the first white collections, new patterns with contemporary colors have been added to match with modern living styles. These incredible collections include presentation plates decorated with 1440 crystals each! (Stardust and Crystal Wedding series).

New designs and color combination are added as customers request new ideas.

In 2015, we introduced a new line of 100% hand made tableware, fully customizable in small quantities. The so called M collection was originally intended for the creative Chefs in high gastronomy restaurants who like to present their dishes on equally exceptional dinnerware.

Manufacture de Monaco is appointed purveyor to His Serene Highness the Prince of Monaco, also providing official gifts to the Palace, the Monaco Government and many more.

A retail outlet opened in 1988 in the Metropole Shopping Center in Monte-Carlo. The store carries exclusively Manufacture de Monaco’s porcelain creations and operates bridal registries. Additional brands carried by the shop include European premier names of luxury tabletop, stemware, linen and giftware, including such well-known brands as Fabergé, Moser Cristal, Artel, Valombreuse, D. Porthault, L’Objet, and more.

We also specialize in boat outfitting and interior decoration with custom made tableware, silverware, crystal and embroidered tablecloth.
